has over 15 years of experience in investor relations, communications and financial services, and has implemented and executed successful investor relations programs across a broad range of companies. has a proven track record as senior IRO with significant experience with M&A, divestitures, IPOs, spin-offs, turnarounds, debt, management transitions, corporate governance issues, crisis communications and activist situations. He has worked with a variety of different technology companies ranging in market cap from $150 million to $5 billion, and his sector experience includes audio, semiconductor, software, and storage networking.
Prior to founding Integrated IR, Mike served as the Vice President of Investor Relations & Communications for XX with $1.2 billion in annual revenue and 13,000 employees in 15 countries. He successfully navigated the company through its spin-off from XX Corporation and added 10 sellside analysts during its first year as a public company, none of which had prior banking relationships with company.
Prior to Knowles, Mike was responsible for directing the investor relations department at XX (NASDAQ: XXXX). In addition to managing internal and external investor relations activities, he advised management on financial and industry trends, shareholder perceptions, and conducted peer benchmarking analysis for C-suite and business unit executives.
Prior to , he served in senior account executive roles at two premier investor relations consulting firms in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was responsible for implementing and executing investor relations programs for newly public as well as mature technology companies. In addition to managing the earnings process, he conducted in-depth interviews with portfolio managers and security analysts to gauge current investor perception and developed investor-targeting plans based on quantitative portfolio analysis to help build stable shareholder bases. He also furnished valuable insight into the impact of proposed or actual strategic initiatives prior to their occurrence.
Prior to IR consulting, he worked as a Senior Associate for Thomson Financial in the Capital Markets Intelligence group providing investor relations professionals with a detailed understanding of what drives institutional capital and how these factors impact share valuation. He also worked as an Equity Derivatives Associate at Bank of America Securities.
Mike received his MBA in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Minor in Biology. He earned his Series 7 and 63 licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and is an active member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI).
